Specialized Hand Therapy

What is hand therapy?

Hand therapy is a concentrated area within occupational and physical therapy that addresses injuries and conditions of the hand and upper extremities.

It aims to improve or restore hand and arm function, enabling individuals to perform daily tasks, work-related activities, and recreational pursuits.

Hand therapy helps individuals recover from fractures, dislocations, tendon and nerve injuries, burns, and crush injuries. We also manage conditions like arthritis, carpal tunnel syndrome, Dupuytren's contracture, and other conditions that affect hand and upper limb function. Lastly, hand therapy plays a crucial role in rehabilitation after hand or upper limb surgeries.

As a Physical Therapist for 9 years, I can confidently say that Jade is the best Hand Therapist that I have had the pleasure of working with. She is extremely knowledgeable about the human hand and does her best to ensure that her patients are aware of what the root cause of the problem is, and works to correct the issue. I would highly recommend her.
